Privacy Policy

To file a company or a tax number we need personal details that matter a great deal, including passport copies and tax numbers. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, who sees it and when we delete it.

What we collect

• Your name, email address, phone number and postal address
• The names and addresses of company owners, directors and officers
• Passport or government ID copies, where a filing requires identity verification
• SSN, ITIN or foreign tax numbers, where a tax filing requires them
• Business details, trademarks, logos and creative works you ask us to file
• Records of what you ordered and paid
• Basic information about how the site is used, such as which pages were viewed

What we do not hold

We never see or store your full card number. Payments go through Shopify Payments and the other providers offered at checkout, who take the card details directly.

Why we hold it

To prepare and submit the filings you ordered, to send you documents and updates, to keep the records the law requires, and to prevent fraud. We do not use your personal details for anything else.

Some of it becomes public, and we will tell you which

Company registers and trademark registers are public by law. When we file for you, some details will appear on a public record: in the US, usually the company name, the registered agent and sometimes the organiser; in the UK, directors' names, service addresses and people with significant control; for trademarks, the owner's name and address. We tell you in the questionnaire which details will be public, and our address packages exist so your home address does not have to be one of them.

Who else sees it

• The government offices your filing goes to, such as the state, the IRS, Companies House, HMRC, the USPTO, the UK IPO, the EUIPO or the Copyright Office
• The partners who complete parts of the work: the trademark attorney, the IRS Certifying Acceptance Agent, the tax preparer and the registered agent, each seeing only what their part needs
• Shopify, which runs the store, and the payment provider you choose
• Our email and secure document storage providers

We do not sell your details, rent them, or share them for advertising. We only disclose anything else if the law requires it.

How we protect ID documents and tax numbers

Passport copies and tax numbers are uploaded through a secure link, never collected by ordinary email, and stored encrypted with access limited to the people working on your filing. We ask you not to send them by email for that reason.

How long we keep it

• Passport and ID copies: deleted ninety days after the filing they were needed for is complete, unless a law requires us to keep them longer
• Order and filing records: seven years, because tax and business record rules require it
• Email conversations: two years, then deleted
• Marketing contacts: removed as soon as you unsubscribe

Your choices

Write to us and you can ask to see what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, delete anything we are not legally required to keep, or stop marketing emails. We reply within thirty days and there is no charge. If you are in the UK or the EU, you also have rights under data protection law there, including the right to complain to your national regulator.

Cookies

The store uses cookies to keep your basket working, remember that you are signed in, and count visits. You can block or clear them in your browser, but the basket will not work without them.

Children

Our services are for adults forming businesses. We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under eighteen.

Changes

If this policy changes we update the date at the top, and if the change is significant we email clients about it.
