Refund & Cancellation

A full refund if you cancel before we file. Government fees cannot be refunded once they are paid, because the government keeps them. Everything else is set out plainly below.

Before we file

Cancel at any time before we submit your filing and we refund you in full, including the government fee, because it has not been paid yet. That covers the time while you are filling in the questionnaire and the time before you approve the summary.

After we file

Once a filing has been submitted, the government fee inside the price has been paid to the state, Companies House, the USPTO, the UK IPO, the EUIPO or the Copyright Office. Those offices do not refund filing fees, so we cannot either. The service part of the price is also not refundable once the work has been done.

If a filing is rejected

• If the state or Companies House rejects a formation because of something we got wrong, we fix it and refile at our cost.
• If it is rejected because a company name is already taken, we help you choose another and refile at no extra service charge. If the state charges a second fee, we cover it.
• If it is rejected because information you gave us was wrong, we refile once you correct it. Any second government fee is payable by you.

Trademarks

A trademark application can be refused by the examiner even when it is filed perfectly, for example because the name is too close to an existing mark or too descriptive. The USPTO, UK IPO and EUIPO do not refund their fees when that happens, and a refusal is not a fault in our service. That is why we recommend a search first.

On the US Trademark Registration with Comprehensive Search package, if the search shows a serious conflict and we advise you not to file, we refund the filing part of the price, including the $350 USPTO fee that has not yet been paid.

EIN and ITIN

If the IRS rejects an EIN or ITIN application because of our error, we correct it and resubmit at no cost. If it is rejected because of missing or incorrect documents from you, we resubmit once you provide them. The IRS decides who receives an ITIN, and we cannot refund the service because it declined an application.

Subscriptions

Registered agent service, business address, trademark watch and similar yearly services can be cancelled at any time, and they will not renew. We do not refund part of a year that has already started, because the address or the agent is already on public record for that year.

Bank account help

Banks make their own decisions and we say so before you buy. We do not refund bank account help because a bank declined an application, but if a bank turns you down we help you apply to another at no extra charge.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, within two working days of agreeing the refund. Your bank then takes three to five working days, sometimes up to ten.

Printed folder

If your folder is lost in the post, we send another at no cost. If it arrives damaged, send us a photo and we replace it.
